Society of Jewish Science is joining
The New Synagogue of Long Island for
Kabbalat Shabbat
December 1, 2023 – 6:30PM
We will be honoring the blessed memory of Rabbi Stuart Paris, as we come upon his first yahrzeit. We will also be looking at this week’s Torah portion Vayishlach which means, “And he sent.” In this Torah portion Jacob wrestles with an angel until daybreak. This wrestling is transformational in Jacob’s physical and spiritual walk. Is this something that we can relate to in our lives? Can we experience physical and spiritual transformation on our lives? Please come and join us as we honor the blessed memory of Rabbi Paris and join in the conversation.
Attendance is in person at the Society of Jewish Science, 109 E 39th Street, NYC or on Zoom.
Services will be led by Rabbi Scott Matous and Cantor Irene Failenbogen.
