Parshah Noach: The First Covenant
This week’s Torah portion, “Noach” (Noah), is a very famous story where G-d saw a corrupt and violent world that He had decided to destroy by a great flood. There was, however, a righteous man named Noach who G‑d instructed to build a large wooden teivah (“ark”) that would shelter Noah, his family, and members of each animal species. After the flood, Noach and his family are told to exit the teivah and repopulate the earth.
